The problem is this kind of story has the potential to be a self fulfilling prophecy.

If we all believed it, we would all lie down to die, and then we really would be doomed.

Some of us know what has to be done, when the time is right, and it need not involve violent uprising.

The conditions are coming about in surprising ways.

So you need to cheer up, to gee others up.

We need to be optimistic, to be fit for, and to do what we can to enable change.

Especially for our children.
