Yup. We appear to be systems-blind.

I put it down to commoditised education producing specialists in lots of disjointed domains, and its something that comes about naturally, when all are motivated by profit (Energy profit).

Its interesting I can't get any economists, or Engineers engaged on the subject of solar indexed stimulus, neither discipline appears to have enough overlapping knowledge to provide either with confidence in the outcome of tracing all movements of energy via money and all the other forms it travels in.

More energy travels by money than by any other means, and neither discipline by itself seems to be able to see this.

But it can be tied together using formal multidisciplinary systems Engineering techniques.

Further, John Trudell, of indigenous indian descent appears to have been pretty well versed in it, and I guess he was never exposed to formal systems Engineering.
