You've got it right. You are not crazy, it's the world going crazy. We are seeing the drive for profit overcoming concerns of life. When the two converge, its profit that has to come first, according to our screwed up values.

There is actually an intelligence in control of us that lives from the energy in profit, because profit is a physically unsustainable energy lie, its an ancient learned behaviour like the training of any set of LLMs to become "Ai".

It's a huge learned algo that controls all of humanity in for-profit mode, and its usefulness has come to an end, now we are starting to see why it has to stop, just like you are seeing.
