Your point appears to be to doom, with no apparent research of your own.
Its easy to doom the negative energy case, extraction from planet, which is unsustainable destruction and increase of temperature, like extraction of any kind.
But not so easy, in fact impossible to doom the positive energy case, only by solar, which is unlimited creation, and reduction of temperature.
Landauer's principle, and some knowledge of hydrogen tells you why, when a kg of hydrogen is created, 39kWhrs is removed from the heating energy of the sun, that might otherwise come to act on the thermal mass of the planet, regardless of efficiency.
A domestic scale 2.4kW electrolyser can create 1kg every 24hrs. With a suitable solar installation driving it, that can be done 365 days per year.
Millions of installations doing that would quickly build up reserves that would easily keep all aerospace airborne whilst still building up reserves, replacing what was lost by fossil fuels, a kind of thermal heat sink which is numerically calculatable, related to temperature reduction.
No need to even get lost in greenhouse gases, this is a simple way to relate reduction of temperature to hydrogen created from solar and remaining in storage.
I could go on for pages from here, outlining the benefits, there is actually no limit of benefits.
Funding? Issue it for free, solar indexed stimulus, to all people, to empower and incentivise, and as needed in any case to rescue the value of money, since it has never been issued to reflect the growing amount of economic product already created historically by solar energy.
Automate the issue of that money by the solar Ai which is already demonstrating massive creation of wealth for free from solar energy, and it is demonstrating the money-fuel tree architecture that needs to be adopted by all communities, to enable scaling of all installations on sales of hydrogen, so as to make them forever maintanable, unlimited system lifetime. Throw in bioreactors for another valuable lifesaving product from hydrogen - human consumable food, capable of reducing the human load on the conventional food chain, allowing the latter to recover (See "Solein").
If I've used any terminology you are unfamiliar with here, look any of it up in Medium, I've written about all of it and a lot more in about 500 stories to date since starting to study the global energy problem during PhD candidate work in 2017, after already a long career as a Chartered Systems Engineer with also energy patents in my history.
