Your paragraph that bundles the reliability of solar panels with wind turbines is nonsensical.
Solar panels work like the leaves of a tree, each leave withers and dies, but they are replaced, and the tree still lives and contributes to the energy of Earth, all from the energy of the sun.
I think it would be very un-Chinese, to look at the sun, see its power, and not just simply use it directly, as-is.
The single driver behind the dream of fusion is colonial profit / greed; the wish to be in control of all energy, to withold / punish potential recipients until submission by payment.
Otherwise why not just use the sun itself?
Has China really been so infected by colonialism?
