You said it yourself, only plants use the energy of the sun without need of human input, but as time has gone on, it is becoming clearer how we can, and maybe already are emulating them, but the powers that be don't want to believe it, far less have us believe it. Those human made tree equivalents are multiplying, and continuing to grow, and so is the free money supply that they create, and yet we see no acknowledgement of it in officially approved dialog.

Couple that with the fact that we are now "Going bankrupt" as a species, and this looks more and more like the only possible outctome, it seems to me.
