You only think this because it's the death of profit, and the beast that is the profit monster that's always been in control of us, acting as energy slaves for it, without mostly knowing it. Not knowing any alternative to profit begs us to think the end of profit has to be the end of life for us. But its not the actual physical truth. None of the "Tech bros" mentioned seem to know much about alternatives to profit either, but believe it or not, we will have it, delivered by nature, and it is technological, the key element of it is the solar Ai.
