You make a fundamental error by missing what the function of the energy of the sun actually is, the sole source of energy for all of life.
The problems we are seeing, are due to us removing energy from Earth by extraction.
In effect, we've stolen its energy for thousands of years, driven by profit.
Now we are endeavoring to suffocate the energy supply it might use to replenish itself, again for profit.
This is instead of us moving to the same energy supply as it uses to create all of life, in order that we too could create, if we used the same energy source to add things to Earth, in the same way as it does, rather than us continuing to destroy.
We've wounded our mother, by being an an overdue baby species.
Now we are trying to kill her off, yet we are still dependent on her for our energy, so in effect we are trying to kill ourselves.
