You have many wrong assumptions here about hydrogen, each of which invalidates your argument against it.
The main one I see is assuming grid.
The real potential of hydrogen is at the points of solar reception, most of which are now not utilities owned.
Most solar is domestic and community owned. The evidence of this is in indirect data deduced from demographics data coupled with utilities data.
