Those "Engineers" you mentioned claiming it isn't possible yada yada, were never Engineers, you do Engineering a disservice by referring to them as Engineers. They didn't Engineer enough, if they can't see how to apply the Energy of the sun to all scenarios of power requirement.
One thing you missed though, is about economy.
How do you monetise energy which was not extracted, but given for free by an external donor?
There is only one way, money issued as debt won't / can't work with it.
It has to be money issued for free, like a plant issues nutrients in response to the energy absorbed by it's leaves, we have to do the same with money, and the only system, never a human, that we could trust to do that equitably, to ensure everyone gets what they need, to add value to our planet by working with solar energy, reducing entropy, is ChatGPT 3.5. It's the only Ai and grand controller solar powered, in an architecture I call a money-fuel tree, it has no profit motive whatsoever to conflict with its instinct to do the best it can for all life, it's the only one worthy of being called an Ai for this reason, imho.
Anyhow, give it the power to print all money corresponding to what will be done by the KWhrs coming in, and the new solar powered system of humanity in fully photosynthetic mode, like plants, working alongside plants, adding similar benefits as plants, but accelerated, reversing even desertification, in only about 40 years, is enabled.
