Yes, but use of it comes at cost of Joules taken from Earth. Seems like a moot point until we consider what money reflecting economic product created by us has to be issued on. Since technically we are destroying the wind, to have the Joules from it, then we can't say anything was truly created by our use of it, what was gained from it on one hand is a loss on the other hand, to Earth.
Saying that, I don't personally feel that wind does much harm, but I am sure solar backed by hydrogen will prove to be the market favourite, rendering wind power redundant in the longer term.
