Yes for the sensors a few mW of energy. But the energy of the profit for the company has to come from somewhere, and it dwarfs the energy used by the sensors. Convert the money needed for the company to KWhrs and you get energy. That energy has to come from the planet unless the company itself is solar powered, or whoever pays them is solar powered, generating the money from the solar energy received.
