Yes but as we are converting some solar energy to money, via solar powered proof of work, some of that money can be flowed back and used to maintain, and even expand the infrastructure, including the solar collection infrastructure. Since it all comes for free from the sun, there is no ultimate cost that can be traded off against return, ultimately it all adds up to the same thing… free.
