Yep. Thanks for posting. Like Dickens you have elucidated something many of us have trouble putting into words. It appears even worse in UK and Europe right now, as we seem to be less aware of it than good folks such as yourself in the US.
There seems to be an additional dimension, that the deeper we go in, the more difficult it is for most to be able to see it.
The drive towards ever more war and atrocity, and waste of precious planetary and environmental resources vital to all life, right now seems higher than ever in UK and Europe, and probably also Russia who are obviously also deeply involved.
The West pretends to be innocent, when it is anything but. We only need to look at our history and the proudly darker forces in Ukraine, to see who we are working with, and allied with, yet again.
