I’ve come to pretty much the same conclusions, though am nowhere near as well researched. I particularly rate Graham Hancock, who’s work I am sure you will be well versed on.

It might not be rigorous science in the conventional sense, but to understand something which by definition is unconventional, we need to make a certain leap of faith. Hence the underlying message of religion.

And it is really important. We just know this is the truth.
