Wow yes losing Eurorail pass must have been painful. With me it was my UK business bank that froze my account due to US embargo. They chose to do this despite it being against UK law to "Honor foreign embargo". They never did admit that in writing, nor actually give any reason, the cash was held for 18 months and bankrupted my business at the time (2019).

Anyhow, they can't keep us down, as long as we got some seriously kicking music going on :)

Costa Rica I would love to see, I've never been there, but I know it has some cool music. The link I sent was of a Mexican band, the music is cumbia, which is like a mix of salsa and merengue, it has a combination of both 6 beat and 8 beat phrases, which make it dancable to all kinds of dance, salsa is 8 beat, merengue is 6 beat, but you can dance either or even a mix of both to cumbia, to me its very creative :). Cuba is pretty much all salsa, I never saw any 6 beat dancing in Cuba, but they have many variations on salsa, things like son cubano, guaguanco, shangui, timba, and they have a really interesting music oriented religion that I got smitten by - Santeria, based on Yoruba from Africa, but it mixes with Christianity, the Cubans are very special people.
