Wow. Brilliant demonstration of the folly of "Renewables". Look at the ammo you gave the trolls here Will, they are loving it.

I've explained why we have to stop using that term, and separate out solar, it is the only one that ADDS JOULES TO EARTH, and therefore is valuable product, additional to the existing base of capital, upon which money can, and actually must be issued.

I've had this discussion with some of the misinformed souls here sinking the boot into your story. They have not been able to fault the logic I've pointed out, but of course they refuse to believe, claiming all "renewables" are pretty much useless. But to give them some credit, why should they believe in "renewables", when even a basic physics lesson tells us energy is not renewable, it can't be destroyed or created, only converted from one form to another, or even to / from mass.?

The energy of the sun is different from the others classed as "Renewables" because, it adds something physical to Earth, all of the time.

Before we had significant solar power, that could be ignored by an economy divided up into a pie of resources of a fixed size, but now we are taking tens of GigaJoules of solar energy per second, in every developed country, and putting those to use, it can no longer be ignored, and the consequence of ignoring it is inflation, which will not stop, until it is put right the only way it can be, by issue of free money, since money-as-debt literally can't represent those Joules coming in for free, no labor of extraction, and thus also no pollution, so no cost to Earth, just valuable product.

Right now, funds sufficient to get all communties fully equipped with solar backed up by hydrogen fuel cells, could be issued, assuring our energy safety, and financial safety, forever. But they don't do it, because besides not undersanding it themselves, there are not enough folk who do understand it to insist on it.

You could change that, Will.
