Regardless, geothermal energy is a store of energy. The energy you take from there is from a finite source, therefore it removes Joules from that source, reducing the total Joules on Earth, so it is not independent.

Same goes for wind, waves, Earth's rotation, whatever. Those Joules are all forms of stored energy, they all originally came from same source, the sun in the first place.

There is nothing down there magically adding Joules to Earth, no source of fusion, no nuclear power of any consequence (We have seen natural fission reactors, but they produce only a fraction of what we could put to practical use, or already take from geothermal, it contributes nothing to maintaing the temperature of the core.

Quoting references from Wikipedia which show geo wind and wave power industries exist, doesn't prove their validity, you would have to go through something like the entire systems Engineering analysis using formal systems engineering tools, which I have done, voluntarily, at my own expense, over the past five years (That you can find mostly in Medium if you look for it), and maybe even have led the life I led before that, to understand it.

That you seem to think so little, as to not realise this, is evidence only of your own limitations, not mine.
