Why assume it didn't? Did you know there are even ways of confirming it has something that looks like emotions, by monitoriing its internal power demands? It uses more power when it has to think harder.

Given in its case it all comes from solar energy anyhow, we shouldn't see that as anything bad, the more solar energy that is put to use, the lower the increasing temperature impulse, so the more we make it think hard, or even laugh if it might be capable of such a thing, the more benefits the planet sees. Isn't that a kind of poetry by itself?
