When a person or organisation that we trusted (ie. Governments, banks), are shown with hard evidence to have spun even just one huge lie, then they completely lose our trust. Then we have to wonder, what else are they lying about? And which others could be similarly deceptive? I find this story a little strange by its omission of that basic fact.
Like it or not, we live in a trustless world now. The question should not be why anyone would believe a conspiracy theory, but why anyone “wouldn’t”.
