What seems to be in question here is the value of people.
People are destructive when fueled by extracted energy, but constructive when fueled by energy which is not extracted, therefore energy which creates by being used, rather than energy which destroys by being used.
All this sounds metaphysical, and maybe pretentious, or even religious, until we formally mathematically sign energy, positive from source, the sun, and negative at all points of use, everywhere on Earth.
Then it just becomes physics, all mathematically calculatable, above what egos or ideologies might say.
Human output, from mathematically positive energy, is creation.
The reverse is true of the net human output from mathematically negative energy, ie energy extracted from materials of Earth, the end result is removal of all things put on Earth by nature, ie destruction.
Taken to conclusion, this will end all life on Earth, because life itself is a form of energy put to use by nature.
Looking at things pessimistically, we've done a few thousand years of damage in that mode.
Looking at things optimistically, we've been busy creating a creation machine, the machine of humanity, which is actually yet to be switched on.
I find it useful to compare this to a plant, or chicken, or human baby.
All have to go through a period of taking their energy from a mother host. to get to the point where they are sufficiently developed to become energy independent of the mother host, moving instead to the energy of the environment of the mother host.
In the case of humanity as a species, this means moving from energy extracted from Earth, to energy directly from sun.
In all cases, infants might be considered as burdens to their mother hosts, until such times as they get developed enough to be able to contribute positively to their mother hosts.
I think we are at that stage now, the plant of humanity has just formed its first leaves, and the energy flow within humanity is changing direction, as it needs to. Until now, it has always been extracted, using money as debt as a kind of gearchain, sucking up the energy of Earth, distributing it throughout, somewhat imperfectly, by the mechanism of profit.
Now we are moving to the energy of the sun, the gearchain of money as debt has to change, and is changing, by what we see initially as inflation, to a donated form, as needed to transport donated energy efficiently to all people.
We already are starting to produce things like hydrogen fuel and hydrogen activated food (See "Solein"), from this, but we have yet to realise the full power of it, by acknowledging and enabling that power the only way it can be enabled, by massive issue of money on it, for free, to all people.
The instant this is done, the human creation machine is switched on, and it could happen any day now.
When that happens, our planet is instantly on the way to recovery, and we will look back on these formative years as something distasteful, but necessary, it seems to me.
I don't think we will have any doubts as to the value of humans after that.
