What is forgotten by potential "Geo-Engineers", is that Earth is solar powered, whilst humanity isn't, at least not quite yet.

But of course we need to become solar powered to stop destroying Earth, and survive, just like a baby born from dependence on the energy of its mother, or egg, has to become dependent on the energy of the environment.

What is it that makes you forget this?

Profit.

Profit which is itself dependent on energy that can be scarcified.

The utilities business is revealing itself to be not so much about the supply of energy nowadays, rather it is about the scarcification of energy, given that all communities are now starting to realise they can be solar powered, with no need of grid, and it is the utilities companies who are losing by that.

So of course it is they who would fund and cheer on would-be Geo-Engineers, who themselves are ambitious for personal profit.

But the effect of that Geo-Engineering on all of life, if it ever happened, done as you say by a minority who have the financial might to do it, would be catastrophic.

Cutting down the Joules received by all of life would be a bigger mistake than we can imagine, but even the things we can imagine, if we get profit out of our souls for long enough to realise, are bad enough.

The scary thing to me about the way things are at the moment, is that investors have the power to kill or cure the planet.

This is like giving an infant a landmine.

The kid has it in their hands, we just have to find a way to gently take it back, without it blowing us all up, or maybe just hope that the kid will grow to have enough intelligence to just hand it back, soon enough.
