We've shown how the current economic system has destruction built in. Destruction is monetised. Creation, so far, is not.
Pointing this out, as the root cause of pretty much all the global problems we are seeing, by your logic, is "Dismissing" the real issue.
For you, it is more important, in a global forum, to focus on fixing your individual problem in your area.
If we did that, by the current "Zero-sum" economy, your area would benefit at the expense of other areas.
Does that not sound familiar, a little like colonialism?
The whole point of the global problem is everyone thinks just to improve the lot of their local area or tribe, if not just for themselves, disregarding that this comes at the expense of everyone else.
In the end, all of it is at the expense of the planet, since all of the resources used came from the planet.
I agree with the writer who simply characterised this as "Consumerism". It means the same as wanton destruction of the planet, just to enjoy our own creature comforts by the quickest means of profit, which always comes at someone else's expense.
The majority is starting to get this message, by whatever we might call the collective awareness, but it is coming.
We are realising that we each need to hack what looks like programming, to make us act individually in a way that the collective has a destructive effect systemically, when everyone's selfish ambitions are put together.
I hope you might see this sometime, but am not "holding my breath".
