Well, there is this thing called radiation hardening, which was done to traditional comms satellites, which is not done on starlink, because well, it takes too long and costs too much, and would eat even further into already negative profit margins.

This is something myself and many others who worked on radiation hardened systems warned about, we said Starlink would start to fail in droves, and here it is, failing in droves, because we were not listened to.
