Well done tackling a difficult subject, thanks for posting.

My main concern in Medium is and has pretty much always been to try to do what I can to help fix something which seems badly broken with our species.

I started out writing about something technical, in 2017, which I knew would be a cool product for folks, all folks, for which I was also doing a self funded PhD on, but which rapidly ran into difficulties, due to it quickly becoming apparent that the product could not be done at profit.

So my PhD research ended up going in the direction of how to fix profit, in order for my product to become reality.

In the process, that research led down a rabbit-hole, exposing to me to all of the problems of profit.

It is an incredibly deep rabbit-hole, which leads to how we use money, and what is a grand energy ponzi, which when we realise the illogicity of how it works, we have to start questioning why we actually practice it mostly without seeing it.

In fact it starts to feel like we have wandered into biblical territory, with many things ringing familiarity with biblical concepts, covering things like immortality, race, slavery, and our very origins as a species.

And it becomes obvious that conventional science itself is affected by the same blindness.

So then we become hypersensitive to all things for profit, because all, every single one, with no exception, is part of the problem.

When covid first came around, it was obvious that to kill it, we simply needed to isolate it.

China managed that, whilst the rest of the world failed.

The rest of the world failed, for purely profit driven reasons.

Vaccines seemed a long way off back then, although there were many of us, me included, writing about why a vaccine was the answer.

We implicitly assumed it would be a coordinated world effort, to produce a single formula, with maximum lethality for covid, something to wipe it out.

At first the WHO appeared to be in charge, coordinating the scientific efforts of all countries.

But then the media seemed to whip things into a competition.

Several efforts started to become apparent, each with their own secret formula.

It became a race, for profit.

Now, it was no longer about a vaccine for all people, it was about a small number of countries, the richest, creating a number of different vaccines, primarily for their own people.

So, it feels a little like that by taking any one of these solutions, we are effectively signing in blood, affirming firstly our commitment to capitalism, and secondly our support for nationalism, even a kind of fascism, whilst lining the pockets of those “at the top”.

But it gets worse, when we have already worked out that profit is the thing behind all colonialism, all fascism, all slavery, all jealousy, all politics, in fact every shitty thing that humanity does to itself and its planet.

Profit is the suicide of a species, no less, it really has no place on a planet which still has next to it an incredibly rich source of all life, wealth, and abundance, a sun.

It is obvious now many people in the world will not get the vaccine.

Which completely invalidates the argument we will ever achieve the majority.

We saw the stark reality of it when millions were dying in places like India, the formulas were witheld from Indian laboratories, preventing them from getting on with manufacturing their own vaccine, in the interests of profit.

Right there, we should have realised the profit thing was killing an awful lot of people, but we didn’t, especially those now signed up “In blood” by having already had the vaccine.

So the fact is that as things now stand, the vaccine can never do what it was originally intended to do; wipe out covid, because the majority in the world will never be able to afford it, the majority will remain without it, because if it is made abundant, then there can be no profit, and shareholders will not allow that.

So the vaccine got screwed when it went from one vaccine to fix covid, to many vaccines for profit.

And by screwing the vaccine, which has become our sole effort, we have assured covid.

Covid has become profit driven.

Of course all people in any country will take whichever vaccine their peers; society, forces them to, but we all know that not all countries have the same privilege, so it is a privileged lie to try to gaslight us into believing we each have to take it “For the benefit of everyone, not just ourselves”.

On the subject of covid passports, they are obviously unenforceable, given the (again profit driven) climate of massive refugee migration.

So it is a mess, the conclusion of which looks pretty poor, if nothing changes.

So folk like me, who see the only alternative to profit, solar powered abundance, we continue to write; profit has to go, whether or not we’ve had the vaccine, profit really has to has to go the way of the dodo, otherwise we follow that unlucky creature as a species, along with most other life on our planet, if not by covid, then by any number of other profit driven things, like war, a pollution illness, or just being burned on our planet by the sun, which we continue to ignore as the source of all wealth, donated to us for free.
