We just got news yesterday from China that their population has started to decline. You can search it out if you feel inclined. Believing in degrowth, is a belief convenient to ruling elites. It is the first precursor needed before genocides, culls, and rising death rates, so everyone just goes along with it. Elites think this will make the world more manageable for them, since the populations are getting "Too big for their boots", smaller populations are easier to manage.

But degrowth fixes nothing.

Damage has been done.

Work needs to be done to fix that damage.

Who will do the work of repair, if there are no people to do it, or enjoy the benefits?

This is much more than just my opinion, it is the result of quite a few years voluntary study, after nearly twenty years as a systems Engineer.

I've done about 300 stories on it since 2017, when the problem became apparent during a PhD.
