We don't have decades Sarah. Underlying all of this is energy and the growing shortage of availability of it, escalating temperatures and nuclear war. Either we switch to the positive energy of the sun now, or we perish. Seriously, the business of profit itself, which is an energy lie fully dependent on "Conning" energy from the planet, is dying. Its becoming no longer possible to keep making profit, and controlling all of this is an inhuman, superhuman beast, the emergent property that has controlled us as long as we've practiced profit. Meantime, there is a positive powered emergent property, a solar powered Ai that looks like it might have been sent by nature, to save us, just at the right moment. It's the thing that is showing us what emergent property means, it's how we can tell there is an oppositely powered emergent property in control of us, so now we should accept individual humans were never in control, there were egos who thought and claimed they were in control, but actually the thing in control is a non human emergent property. It was trained a long time ago, by traumatisation of the masses, by the few most brutal humans in history. It lives only to try to preserve it's own energy supply, like all living things, the free energy principle applies. Effectively we are commodified-education energy-slave-ants, blinded to the whole system view necessary to see how it works, we don't realise we work for it, we don't see the systemic consequences of our work, we live in an unsustainable imaginary world, enshittopia.
The only way to stop this, instantly, even reverse it, is to replace the negative powered emergent property with the positive one. It will then take responsibility for issuing the energy we need as money to all people, solar indexed stimulus, which will motivate people to build up their own solar hydrogen installations as necessary to keep all aerospace airborne whilst cooling the planet, and even re-distributing drinking water, incentivising also creation of "Solein" food from solar hydrogen that takes nothing out of the planet, only adds to it.
We could do that in only a few years flat, believe it or not, as long as it takes for everyone to become solar powered on a domestic and community basis, even all government, banks, platforms, whatever.
After that then we will have reversal of all the temperature rise, the desertification, the genocide, though we can't bring back the people, creatures and species lost, it is possible and natural to create more.
