Way Past WTF

Right now I have this in my activity report:

So I go have a quick look at what those two applauded, and see this:

…Can you see a problem there?

It looks like those two (presumably well meaning, good folk), reported to have applauded, managed to only give one clap between them.

I always suspected there was skullduggery going on with the platform around clapping. This just seems to confirm it. How often will I see this unique glimpse of the black cat?

I did refresh the page, to see if maybe the clap count might be cached, somewhere, yet to be updated, with at least one more clap, which has to have been made by one or the other, if they both applauded.

Takes a long time though, eh? Will it ever update, or has one of my applauders been deleted or something?

Who knows, but whatever is going on, it just seems to confirm that there is good reason why I never make a profit from Medium, it always profits from me, it always is taking energy from me, never the other way round.

Are we surprised? WTF no.
