Very touching story, what an awesome force he must have been when he was younger. Thanks for posting. I have some relatives like this too, but fallen out of touch with them, my bad. Your story echoes a lot of thoughts I've had too. That you are so close to your grandfather despite his age reflects something about your country and culture, I notice it in Latin and Afro-Carribean places, including in the music and dance, its different for us in UK, and other more Northenrn places I think. We were already distancing ourselves from it, it was the simple values of family that have almost gone now. I lament losing it from our culture, I hope to try to preserve what is left between myself and daughter, come what might. I still have hope that what underlies it all, the inhumanity of a world obsessed with profit, will pass soon, as it has to, if we want to have a future, I think we really need a return to a world of hope to get this. I think it will come, when its realised profit is done, its usefulness is past, all it does now is harm, in the presence of energy that comes for free from the sun. Things will change, when money starts to be issued to transmit the value of that free energy to all of us, giving us a much needed infusion of new energy.
