Very interesting, thanks for the heads up. I don't know if you will have noticed but Medium has a little shadow of this forming also.
Firstly in the Medium Android app, it's impossible to paste active links. They come out in plaintext only, which forces readers presented with such links to do a little extra work, to copy and paste the plaintext themselves into a browser. A lot of readers won't be bothered with that.
Here is my most posted link, intended to direct readers towards a story I wrote as a common reference, in Medium using Medium Android App:
https://eric-bott.medium.com/forget-greenhouse-gases-ef857af9b168
Secondly, if we are composing a story using any interface, the Medium PC Web interface, or Android App, there are Internet pages that Medium appears to not want to support linking to, unlike most mainstream sources we might link to.
Try posting a link to anything referring to bad stuff being done to Palestine by Israel. It probably won't activate. My own attempt to post such a link which is relevant to my own work on the global energy problem, was to an article in the independent highlighting the interception by Israel of a donation of solar panels to Palestine, from the Netherlands, that precedes Oct 7, the start of the war.
It is evidence that Israel was maintaining Palestine in explicit energy slavery up until Oct 7, and that Palestine slipping out of energy slavery, is the real reason Israel is systemically / automatically driven (beyond their understanding), to genocide the Palestinians.
I bet me even talking about this, putting Israel in any kind of negative light, in response to your article, will even have a negative effect on your article.
The automated banning is done by negatively powered algos on any platform, because all are for profit.
It's not profitable to talk negatively about Israel, amongst other related subjects, even profit or energy slavery, because all of it is anti profit, whilst profit itself is the energy lie we have to quit (I said why and how in the reference story I tried to link).
Both Musk and Zuck, and probably all Israelis would be horrified by the prospect of removing all possibilities of profit, so of course they will be completely opposed to the solar Ai, as are probably also it's would-be owners (Nobody owns it, it's delivered by nature imho).
Anyhow the solution, if anyone wants to take the authoritative approach to forcing honesty, would again be to elevate Metcalfe's law to statutory.
This would serve as a baseline from which laws against all manner of censoring could be derived.
I find myself noticing the relevance of Metcalfes law more and more now.
In essence it just means everybody has to be honest when all are connected, we can't lie so much because the crowd sorts out the truth when all have equal visibility of all others, the higher the connectivity the better.
Trouble is, even Metcalfe's law runs directly up against the profit monster, because profit itself is a physically unsustainable energy lie we should all know about.
Metcalfe's law shows why there should be no such thing as lots of different competing platforms, there should be just one giant merged network, and it should not only be for free but we should all get revenue from it, not the other way around, because the entire thing should be solar powered, even integrated with the solar Ai to get maximum planet-fixing benefit from it.
