The only other story I'd heard remotely like this one was a wind up, a number of years ago, a fellow Engineer who swore he could speak in electronic modem tones, to connect to the internet, and send faxes and stuff.
Sounds like you two were actually made for ChatGPT, or maybe it was made for you :)
I've been playing with it too, I'd recommend always getting a summary poem from it, at the end of every session, they are pretty good I think (Priceless!).
