Very cool, thanks for posting. They should keep an eye on green hydrogen developments also, which are becoming a reality. With that, like all existing aircraft, converting their gas turbine technology to hydrogen would be a simple route to achieving a zero carbon footprint whilst keeping the higher energy to weight ratio of fuel tank and internal combustion engine combinations, compared with electric motor and battery combinations.
Also, it would be interesting to see more on the possibilities of using multiples of smaller versions of these bladeless impellers in parallel, instead of just one big one on each side – would one achieve economies of scale in efficiency, with maybe better noise characteristics?
