Very cool article, thanks for posting. I hope eventually this kind of research will come to the conclusion that profit is the actual elephant in the room. I am not sure Ai created for profit will ever identify that, but it would be awful cool if it did.
The problem that we can't get around, is that profit is not compatible with the way energy works in nature. So no matter how we pitch it, we have to stop it, before nature stops us, permanently.
There might be a possibility that Ai left after us would go on to capture, and become nature itself, who knows. But if we want to preserve humans, and all other organic life, we are going to have to become compatible with how energy is worked by nature to create and sustain all organic life, which means we have to ditch profit, and all of the things driven by it, and causing it.
