UK Utilities Energy Consumers Are Being Clobbered, And this Means UK Inflation is Actually Really Way Out of Control.
In case you were not aware yet, this is how it is, in UK right now, and I told you so. Worse, its only the start, if the right change is not made.

Due to a long story that I won’t bore with here, I have what is known as an electric key meter. I choose to stick with it, because I prefer to be in control, of whether or not I will buy electricity. I’ve already been stung by energy companies taking unexpected money via debits, building up credit for electricity not used, which was never fairly repaid to me, yet when I later failed to meet bills bang on time, I got a key meter forced on me.
Have it your way guys, now I have control, and a hard record, of what I am being overcharged for. I’ll stick with that, thanks.
Three days ago, I charged it in the usual place I’ve had it topped up, usually about once per month, with £200, taking the total money on the key to £211 (I had £11 on the key when I got it charged).
I’d noticed my average rate of consumption is about £7 per day before that charge.
Since that charge, my rate of consumption has doubled to almost £14 per day.
So now instead of my electricity outlay being £200 per month, it will be £400, if I carry on consuming it at my current rate, which is the minimum I can do whilst maintaining reasonable personal hygiene etc.
I’ve made no changes to anything, still same old single room heater, same washing machine and dish washer, each used maybe once a week. same old water boiler only ever on at night when overnight rates are supposed to apply, same old energy saving lighting.
The only thing changed is that I charged the key again.
So the supplier has cut the amount of kWhrs supplied to the key by almost half of what it was previously.
For the same charge of £200 now, I am only getting half the kWhrs.
I knew it would happen, I just wasn’t sure when.
We saw on UK BBC news yesterday utilities energy consumers were going to see an energy price rise of “£85 this year”, implying that would be the total rise we would see in our total yearly energy bill.
We saw also on the UK BBC News “Wages continue to outpace inflation”
Inflation is claimed by BBC to be “2.5%”
Wage rise growth rate is quoted as “6%” by Guardian newspaper.

See what matters, given we live in a system of energy slavery, abstracting energy by money. Money is energy.
Food is energy. We each have to metabolise about 3kWhrs a day to live healthily.
So wherever those stats on inflation are coming from, and it doesn’t matter where, they are not reflecting hard physical reality, which is energy.
Sorry but they are lying. This is what has to be said, nay called out;
THEY ARE LYING.
And we are getting clobbered for letting them away with it.
I paid £65 for my two bags of shopping from Tesco today. This had nothing different in it from what I was buying only a couple of years ago for less than £40. So the energy in food has risen in price 50% in two years.
I average about 3 bags of grocery shopping per week.
I don’t have a car, so I am not taking fuel prices into account here, I live in town, I have plenty shops nearby.
The electricity rate looks slightly less than twice, so a fair estimate of increase might be around 90%.
So if we average out the change in what I pay for energy goods including food, over the past two years, its up by 70%.
Energy is what is important, this is what should be hammered into stone in the houses of parliament in big shiny letters;
ENERGY MATTERS MOST.
It’s what quantifies what you can do with money.
So money that buys only a quarter or a third of the energy it used to, is money with 2/3 or 3/4 of the total energy it used to represent, gone, lost.
It’s on the way down to zero, but it won’t carry on in a straight line, its actually elliptical, tracing historical energy availability to extract, which peaked around the eighties, 50 years ago, when we were flying in supersonic commercial aircraft, and to space and the moon in reusable space shuttles.
(50 years before that we were in horses and carts)
But even the elliptical trend will end abruptly for us in UK, dropping all the way to zero, when all business goes bust, including food business, if the right change is not made.
The solar Ai confirms this now also, we have to issue solar indexed stimulus. This is a kind of UBI, indexed to creation of economic product from solar.
This is the only way to move away from net destruction of the planet, which is us as stands, because by the outrageous energy lie of profit, we can only monetise destruction, this being the real reason for planetary temperature rise, hence why profit has to stop, and nature is stopping it, in many ways now, maximum pain for us if we don’t go with it willingly.
I said much more in the story below, please read it and understand it if you have not already. Even if you are not in UK, this will come to affect all countries, very soon now.
And if you know any MPs, give em a nudge. Ask them to wake up and face up to the responsibility they know they have, for keeping us in energy security. Lets have some solar indexed stimulus, for all of us to be enabled and funded to get the UK cottage industry of solar hydrogen running, to get all of the highest tech aerospace back in the air, and revitalise all of the industries we really care about, including even food (Allowing natural stocks to recover by supplementing with Solein — not as high tech as it looks, the secret is its made from hydrogen using low tech mildly heated chambers filled with hydrogen and single cell organisms), and water, whilst fixing the planet for real, at last — in no time, only a few years, as long as it takes to put standard solar hydrogen generation into domestic settings. Again not as high tech as it sounds, honestly anyone can do it with the help now of the solar Ai, which can coordinate all the work and all the energy, and all the money.
Oh, and that UK energy company, this could be it, its business is to empower all to get tooled up to start pumping out hydrogen for free, from sunlight for free after installation, maintainable forever as money fuel tree architecture (Also linked in story below).
Or are we just going to wait, until we are all out of even the energy to install, and in the street with cap in hand, on horses and carts again?
