True Ukraine was no threat. But what if, when Russia was in Cuba, there had also been Americans there, and Russia poured weapons into Cuba, until a revolution happened, which overthrew the US backed oligarchs there, then Russia was to move nuclear weapons aimed at US into Cuba? Would the US have have been driven to war? Of course they were, but credit where credit is due, at least the US never actually invaded Cuba.
