True but bugs are only fixed if they negatively affect profit. If a bug results in more profit rather than less, it probably won't be fixed. Add to that revisions are all about making things more profitable. A revision will only happen if it might result in more profit. Major revisions always have bugs, which sometimes affect previously debugged good functionality. If loss of functionality turns out to increase profits then the bug causing that, will never be fixed.
The old version of Medium Android had none of these bugs, and all of the functionality we see missing, or screwed up in the new version.
