Too true. I had such a thing myself when I also had a caravan only a couple of years ago, so I used to justify one with the other, but now both are gone I realise neither were justified.
I believe we will be able to get back to having big energy guzzlers, those of us who enjoy having that, but in a sustainable non-polluting way, in a few years, after we've moved to a solar powered hydrogen economy.
I personally would love to see things like converted hydrogen powered bugattis and bentaygas, they are awesome machines, would be something very cool to see and maybe even to have. I think the economy can be changed in a way that we would be rewarded for contributing towards solar development, so if our ambition happened to be to have one of those big energy guzzlers, we would just need to ensure we had put in enough solar infrastructure to support it, and everything else we do.
