Too true, but look, when we move to domestic and community based solar hydrogen, as nature appears to be pushing us to, by removing all capability of future extraction of energy by profit, we will find a whole new world of alternative plastics technology which will automatically have the opposite effect of the plastics of old, which are all just forms of pollution made slightly more usable, only to us humans, the plastics from hydrogen will all turn out to be benign and actually biodegradeable, useful to all of nature, because they were created from energy before it came to be used by nature on the planet. By that, our output becomes beneficial not only to all of nature but also to us, greatly extending human life.

Our waste ouptputs become like the outputs of plants. We would just be another form of photsynthetic life.

Notice hydrogen converts already to food (See "Solein"). So new plastics should be feasible as just an extension of that.

We could never create food from fossil fuels :)

We can't know all the benefits of mathematically positive energy use for sure until we've tried it. But my own research, that started by tracing the needs and requirements of all stakeholders including nature as a primary stakeholder, indicates that is what we will see. This solution is more or less dictated by the stakeholder analysis. So this should not be mistaken as an idea of mine, it is observation of nature, using the formal tools of systems Engineering, my long standing "bread and butter". Apply those tools, crank the handle, and out pops the solution meeting all requirements.

The underlying fundamental theory of the maths of energy at work is here:
