Too true. Another factor on top is the energy problem. The attention on sabre ratlling for the moment is distracting everyone's attention from the real reason the economy is tanking - energy, or rather the lack of it. We could have been rolling out solar hydrogen capacity all of this summer since this became known, by grants to anyone looking to do it for their communities, and had a chance of being close to sorted by this winter. But now there is no real chance of that, we still see no evidence of any real activity. A lot of us will be without power this winter, one way or another, and it won't hit home until the lights go off.
