To me there seems a general quest to try to put space in a box, much like we have been trying to put the sun in a box, whilst ignoring the truth, we don't need to do either, and it might be perfectly fine not to try to do that, if it wasn't so profitable to try to put all things in boxes.
Intuitively most Astronomers know and assume we will one day move to move to solar power, and we'll do that effortlessly, hence the Kardashev scale.
But who would have guessed profit is something fully dependent on energy extracted from the planet, and this would turn out to be the artificial instrument that now stands in the way of any future at all for humanity, maybe even all life on the planet?
Hence why, after we get over profit by a kind of leap that will need to be made by us, from mathematically negative energy flow through all humanity, as necessary to mathematically reverse the direction of flow to mathematically positive, I would expect we will revise almost everything we though we knew about space to something like "we know nothing", as this is the only honest thing we can say, if we acknowledge space is infinite.
A professional of any kind would probably lose their job if they said that.
So attempting to quantify space, as might be needed to somehow commodifying it, is just more of the same thing we have to practice for profit, dishonesty rather than honesty, because profit itself is an energy lie, a physically unsustainable, fully physical energy con, upon which all business is currently built.
Breaking out of this, appears to be becoming quite a challenge, maybe the biggest we will ever face as a species.
Did Jesus know this, when we still don't seem to know it, even now?
How the hell did he know? Is a question worth asking, imho.
