To me it just looks like Sunak is doing what Trump did, and anyone else rich in a position of authority of a country will do, they will use the money of others to line their own pockets. The country has become nothing more than a company to be used towards their own agenda of lining their pockets. I think this is built into all humans, unfortunately, its how we maintain what many see is inevitable - inequality. Yet we know instinctively its not good for the economy of the country (- Gini), and we know its not good for the environment, in fact it is terminal for the environment, because at the heart of it is an energy con (Energy profit), which has to end with the planet paying the price in energy wasted to heat, this is us living by destruction - we reward, and are rewarded financially for destruction.

And there is an alternative, solar indexed stimulus, which I write about a lot. Its actually inevitable, if we are to avoid planetery disaster.
