From my own analysis I think the results of a nuclear war will actually be the end of all life on Earth, the impact to environment when we are already on a tipping point will be perfect to launch us into the abyss good and proper.

Maybe that is what the person claiming it would be "Merciful" meant, it might be a quicker way to go, rather than suffering for years to come with ever reducing resources.

In any case it is insanity thinking nuclear war is ever an option, especially knowing why we could begin fixing everything. especially environment and even the war, tomorrow, by immediate commencement of Kardashev Money.

You know, if the US really wanted to defuse the enemy, they could have just bribed all of the Russian soldiers, and even all the Ukraine soldiers with the fifty billion sent as cash, declaring it as Kardashev money, so no need to repay. With that, none of them would have bothered carrying on trying to kill one another, and avoid being killed themselves, they would just have all quietly disappeared into retirement.
