This seems like a very confused story.

Remember before the war we were mostly winding down nuclear. The war is causing a change of mentality, from anti-nuclear, to pro-nuclear. Remember it was created during the last world war, with one goal; to nuke other humans. The energy function of nuclear was contrived afterwards to give it a clean enough image to preserve it. It never was profitable to have nuclear power stations, the decommissioning cost vastly outweighs the value of the energy yielded, especially now we have the free energy of solar. Hence the reason they are never safely decommissioned.

The current war is making us hell bent on having this obscenity which is nuclear, all over again.

Nature is kicking our ass because we won't stop destroying things, and we are reacting to it by coming up with even better ways to destroy things.

Does it not occur that splitting an atom, that nature created, is the most profound kind of destruction of nature?

We were never supposed to do it, there was a period in history before any world wars, way before we polluted things to the edge of survivability, when Nikola Tesla tried to deliver free power sourced from the sun.

If we'd had that, we would not have experienced the worst centurty in history, in terms of human lives lost, and we would not now be facing environmental catastrophe, and a war that will finish it off in any case, if it is allowed to run to conclusion.

There would have been no wars, no nuclear, no poverty, no slavery, and we would have had genuinely life prolonging healthcare and medicines,. We would probably even also been flying to the stars by now, courtesy of thousands of geniuses who would have come from countries war torn and impoeverished.

It is not too late for us to turn things round, to put ourselves back on a track parallel to the one we were on, when Tesla was defunded.

We can fund finally going community based solar backed up by a hydrogen ecosysystem, using Kardashev Money issued in lieu of achieving all of the energy capacity needed from the sun.

Going back to nuclear now solves nothing, the war carries on to probable global destruction, killing millions of souls, whilst millions of other souls continue dying of energy poverty and environmental disasters all around the world.

There is no excuse for the idiocy we are seeing now, we have the routine technology to sort this problem, we really do deserve to be extinct, if we can't see this simple reality.
