This reminds me of business folk in UK government or with UK government connections blaming the NHS for lack of performance / high costs.
The fact is health, and actually anything truly human beneficial is expensive, if we define expensive as in terms of just impacting profit.
Because profit is anti life.
Cant have life promotion, and profit. Have to choose one or the other, and we appear to be choosing the latter, so far as we know in known history which itself seems somewhat dependent on profit.
Now notice profit also heavily depends on availabilty of energy to extract. As the latter declines / depletes, all profitability is impacted.
If we don't notice that, we might be tempted to just blame the energy slaves for costing too much.
Its even more profound now that solar energy is making an impact, we are physically moving our dependence from extracted sources to solar, the only additive source of energy because it's free per Joule from the sun, therefore totally incompatible with profit. It's mathematically impossible to compute profit for something that is free, but still we try.
The truth is profitability peaked in the seventies, and is now on the decline, with the decline accelerating to zero.
This is like the view from inside a finite oxygen bottle running out to vacuum.
We still don't seem to see it's mathematically impossible to continue, the rate of decrease of available gas, relative to what was originally in the bottle increases exponentially towards infinity. It's the function of depletion, it ends at zero if we coulkd survive that long but we can't. At some point we will expire and this point is not known in advance, it's a mistake we can only make once, like accidentally choking oneself as some humans seem prone.
Hence why solar indexed stimulus needs to start, sooner rather than later, if we wish to have any survival at all, on Starship or otherwise.
We need both energy and oxygen and money is how most of us get the energy we need to live.
With profitability becoming impossible, we need money to become for free, like the only remaining energy it can represent is given, for free.
Ive been through the reasons why it's perfectly affordable so many times elsewhere, I hope nobody asks yet again here.
Its all in the book
