This is where maybe our views differ slightly, thanks for posting. To me money is just a construct, to carry out whatever purpose we wish to use it for. To me nature is screaming at us what we have to use it for. If we don't listen, and act on it, then we continue to burn.
We need a mechanism, a medium of transport, to transport energy to all humans, no exceptions, all are potentially valuable, given the opportunity to become valuable.
Judging some humans as more or less valuable or worthy than others is just ego, it seems to me, there is no physical reason why that has to be so.
We will get the mechanism needed when money is issued to save folk who need to be saved, and there will be tens of millions more of us needing saved very soon, in every country, due to the value of money not representing the most valuable thing we can imagine, actual energy donated to us from the only source of it, the sun.
To recover the value of money, it has to do the most valuable thing for people, that is what is needed to save our species, that is the only survivable outcome, it seems to me.
So we might usefully assign some Joules of live energy per token of money, instead of a measure of capital, like gold as it was.
We could do this before or after issue, it doesn't matter, the important thing is that all people need to be empowered, we can't pick or choose who is worthy, the only judge with that authority is nature, she judges all of us together, we fail as a species if we can't unite behind the common goal of furthering humanity, it seems to me.
