This is very cool, I identify with all of it too, but we will never convince most of those who are still "Doing well", or even just surviving in the system to change their ways.
"Doing good" is a luxury only afforded to those who already did the damage of amassing savings in the old system, and as long as the others still grafting don't change, all our efforts to do good are outweighed by the misdirected efforts of those folk with no choice but to keep making the profit they each need to live, which drives all the effort of energy extraction "At the coal face".
There is something big happening though, mostly "under the radar", that is domestic and community solar, which is building up a kind of un-issued free money debt, owed to the public, for the Joules of energy received for free, but already put to use in the economy.
This is the real mechanism behind financial inflation which will no doubt be affecting whatever capital you have invested, to a point you might even be threatened to be tempted to return to the old system, to earn a crust.
But this would not be what we need to do.
What we need to do is demand the free money we are owed.
The old system of profit is in process of being gutted, to be replaced immediately by the only survivable alternative, a donation based solar powered system, driven by nature itself for the first time ever.
Meantime like you say, if we have the luxury of the choice of whether or not to withdraw, then we should.
I gave away my 4x4 now living in a town like a small city, I only need an e-bike to stiil get around, so there you might see an advantage to living in town.
