This is very close to something I've been wondering about for a while, since around 2017.
If it is accepted that the process of technical capitalism, that is the handling of all things including energy, and information, as capital, results in an energy deficit to our planet (reflected by financial debt), which ultimately has to become fatal to all life on the planet if it is not paid back down by using the energy of the sun (the only actual source of energy) that is energy not stored in any form on Earth, then, we can draw a number of conclusions about extraterrestrials:

Firstly they can't be profit driven, otherwise they would not have escaped their planet, before exhausting the stored energy of their planet, just like us.
So to have been able to escape their planet, they would have had to give up all of the ideas of capital, and profit, since that appears to be the only way to align money with energy, rather than aligning money with fuel.

In other words money would need to be continuously issued and given out for free, to empower all humans in the same way as the sun empowers all of life.
In that scenario, all people have abundant wealth, requiring none to commit crime, or to lie, in turn removing all law enforcement, and most business, and most government, in other words removing all "Bullshit jobs", including war, thus vastly reducing the power requirements of humanity.

If it is accepted that this is the only possible form of sustainable, therefore extraterrestrially capable society, in the absence of any predators, then the sudden appearance of a predstor species would be catastrophic to any intrinsically sustainable species, because the latter would have evolved beyond aggression, and therefore it would be beyond any capability to defend itself against the aggression of a predator species, even if that species was far less intelligent, but just aggressive.

Further, we can't help noticing the effects of profit driven misinformation on all things in our historical development, all historical records are wiped out, unless they are physically indestructable, hence the reason we have the pyramids, which seem to be evidence of high technology, but we know nothing about such technology, and would probably destroy all such knowledge, since that would be highly damaging to the information capital wielded by the profit driven scientific community.

So on the Ukraine issue, we seem to be very close now to reaching the end of usable energy on Earth, with the last spark about to be expended towards perhaps a nuclear war, and we are nowhere near going intetplanetary. Not really, if we are honest. Our space and aerospace technology peaked with things like the ISS launch, the shuttle, and concorde.

So now we might think about sending out some messages of our own into space, a kind of epitaph, which might be siezed on, and turned into religions by infant species in the future, like children do with nursery rhymes.

I guess you will probably not be a fan of this line of thinking, as you seem to go to some lengths to impress us with your work history as a precursor to any discussion, which means you are probably still well embedded in the mindset of using information as capital.

I don't blame you, or anyone for that, we all have to do it, to make any money at all in the species destructing system.
