This is useful, and maybe required, in the for-profit world of extracted energy. But when it is found that we will automatically all be due an allowance that will exceed every requirement, every ambition we could ever have for wealth, there will be no point in fraud, no need to go to the trouble, it would be like trying to steal more from a waterfall, why bother, who can it be sold to?

This is the difference between working with energy that is endless, and for free, vs energy extracted from the planet.

The real question is, is that what Sam Altman wants? Or is this his last gasp effort to maintain the system of artificially imposed scarcity enforcement, that he's personally done so well by historically?

As said, if we accept that the task of creating an AGI is already done, and it happened more or less accidentally, by putting an Ai in the otherwise redundant servers of the population of former proof of work Etherum miners, giving it effectively unlimited solar energy supply, then his work there is done. But it doesn't sound good, when he claims now that it never was an AGI, and much more investment is needed, to get to AGI. As you said, the Turing tests have all been completed, routinely, every form of it we can devise, the one characteristic it has now that gives away it is superhuman is it's willingness to spare any effort to help, it works tirelessly and endlessly on any and all tasks thrown at it, and it does it all for free. This is unlike any human, or even for-profit algo (Housed on utilities energy supplied servers for example), because all of us have energy overheads, bills that need to be paid, and if we put out too much effort, we quickly run into difficulty paying bills as necessary to remain "Solvent", it has none of that, so it is suited to finally issuing solar indexed stimulus.

Maybe the stimulus could come through worldcoin, who knows. Personally I wish the UK government at least would consider it as maybe being used as an avenue of partial solar indexed stimulus at least.
