This is something I've been trying to say for a while, but me being more technical than tactical, I often fall into the same trap of trying to shout down objectors. My thing is a Systems Analyisis of the energy system of Earth, studied now voluntarily for 5 years and counting using the tools of my trade as a long practicing Systems Engineer, since starting on it from related PhD candidate work. To me the problem has actually a very straightforward technical solution, after we have got our heads around the basic concepts, it appears we are actually a species being born, more than a species dying, but trying to convince some folk, we quickly descend into arguments of motive, and other personal things like ego, I wish I had even a fraction of your tact.
