This is problem which has been brewing a long time, thanks for posting. This is the same lithium technology which has previously caused fires in aircraft equipment whilst in flight, with whole fleets being grounded until safety concerns have been sorted out.

It is something that needs to be regulated. Manufacturers should be randomly audited to make sure standards are adhered to, certificated if in compliance, shut down if found in breach, and suppliers should be held liable if supplying from uncertificated manufacturers.
